About Dr. Robert Ramoska

Recognized by Who’s Who in Illinois as Most Promising Under 40 Professional, Robert Ramoska possesses board certification from the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. A graduate of the University of Alabama. Robert Ramoska owns American Foot & Ankle Center Inc. in Palatine, Illinois, where he offers medical and surgical podiatric services. Robert Ramoska previously operated as an ER physician at Edgewater Medical Center in Chicago. At Edgewater, he also served on the Residency Selection and Peer Review committees. In addition, he held staff positions at Methodist Hospital of Chicago and Day Surgicenter Inc. in Chicago.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Robert Ramoska volunteered at St. Paul VIRTUS, a program of The National Catholic Risk Retention Group, and at South Side Clinic in the inner city of Chicago, where he provided podiatric services to individuals in need. The organizations that Robert Ramoska supports include the National Museum of the Marine Corps, The Army Historical Foundation, Disabled Veterans of America, and Avenue to Independence, a nonprofit organization that assists adults with physical, intellectual and developmental disabilities. A charter member of the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, Robert Ramoska also holds membership in the Fraternal Order of Police Chicago Lodge 7 and the Illinois Tactical Officers Association.

In his leisure time, Robert Ramoska enjoys reading, fishing, and swimming. Robert Ramoska possesses a distinguished swimming career. As a student at Fenwick High School in Illinois, Robert Ramoska became the first swimmer to break the 4:30 barrier in the 500-yard freestyle, holding the school record in the event for 12 years. A four-time high school champion and two-time Junior National Champion, he held records in the 400-meter and 1,500-meter freestyle. The young athlete also competed internationally in Hamburg, Germany, and Caracas, Venezuela, where he earned the most points of any male competitor. After he retired from swimming competitively, Robert Ramoska served as a student coach under International Swimming Hall of Fame member Don Gambril.
